A Florida native with the training and experience to achieve excellent outcomes in BPH surgery. Dr. Dora has been performing HoLEP in Tampa since 2011 and was the first to offer HoLEP in Southwest Florida.
I am a Florida native born and raised in Southeast Florida. I graduated from the University of Florida Summa cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa with a B.S. in Neurobiology. I then earned my M.D. from the University of Miami Leonard M. Miller School of Medicine. I was selected to Alpha Omega Alpha honor society and graduated with research distinction.
I received my training in Urologic Surgery at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. I served as Chief Resident Associate and Clinical Instructor in Urology at the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine. While at the Mayo Clinic I participated in clinical and basic science research in Urology and was awarded 1st place in the Minnesota Urologic Society Essay Competition and was a 2004 AUA Gerald P. Murphy Scholar in Urology. I am Board Certified by the American Board of Urology.
I have multiple publications and national presentations in various disciplines in Urology. I practice general urology with a special interest in benign prostate enlargement and HoLEP. I began performing HoLEP in January of 2011 and have presented my outcomes in HoLEP at the American Urologic Association Southeastern Section meeting in 2015. I thoroughly enjoy performing HoLEP and strive for continuous improvement with each procedure.
